Wyman Park Dell
We redesigning the digital presence for Friends of Wyman Park Dell (FWPD). The goal was to create a modern, accessible website that reflected the park’s historic charm while encouraging greater community engagement. The existing site felt outdated and lacked streamlined navigation, making it difficult for users to access key information about events, updates, and volunteer opportunities. Our challenge was to balance aesthetic appeal with practical functionality to meet FWPD’s needs.
We began by analyzing the park’s natural and community-driven identity to ensure that these elements were embedded in the design. Earthy green tones and neutral whites and grays were selected to reflect nature and the welcoming atmosphere of the park. The layout was carefully structured to feature dynamic sections, including interactive event calendars, donation calls-to-action, and community stories. Typography choices focused on readability, incorporating clean and modern fonts that would work well across both desktop and mobile devices. Photo galleries and event spotlights were also integrated to showcase the park’s vibrancy.
